Two incomes became one, and every bill landed on him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>You slowly start taking loans to pay those bills and then you get credit cards to buy groceries. It just kind of starts building and building before you realize it&#8217;s kind of out of control.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>When Overtime Stopped Being Enough<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nick worked all the overtime he could. He was paying close to $400 a month toward credit cards and personal loans, before car payments, food or rent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>I knew it was time to get help when I had just felt like I had taken too many loans and I couldn&#8217;t go and ask for another loan when all I was doing was taking a loan to pay another loan.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He started searching online and read reviews until he found a company that felt legitimate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What the First Call Changed<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nick didn&#8217;t expect a quick fix. He knew the process would take time, and his specialist told him up front that creditors might still contact him early on. Some did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>My Consolidation Specialist, he was just real with me. He didn&#8217;t try to sell me on anything and he was just upfront about the way everything worked, what to expect, and that made me feel good to know that there was a plan that was going to be put into place to help me and there was comfort in that.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His monthly payments on eligible accounts went from $386 to $291. For Nick it made a big difference. His old payments weren&#8217;t moving his balances, and the new ones come with a 41-month finish line instead of the 17 to 20 years he estimated it would take on his own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Having that extra money just, it gave me a little bit of breathing room just to make it through each month.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What&#8217;s Next for Nick<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today Nick can walk into a grocery store without a tight budget mapped out first, and he can say yes when friends want to get together.
