Meet Accredited Debt Relief's Brand Ambassadors

Debt is a sensitive subject for many people, but Accredited Debt Relief's brand ambassadors know that using their voices to raise awareness helps reduce the stigma for people in debt.

In our national campaigns, Rob Lowe and Bill Cowher are shifting the conversation, speaking openly about how people get into debt and how they can get out of it. Debt reflects your circumstances, not your character, and those circumstances are common — which is why the options for handling them should be easy to find and open to more people.

Why We Partnered With Rob Lowe

As an award-winning actor, producer, author, and entrepreneur, Rob Lowe has spent his career telling people's stories, and he understands their power and what happens when someone hears their own experience reflected back at them. That is what drew him to this campaign: the chance to make families carrying debt feel less alone.

Rather than simply appearing in the spots, Lowe helped shape the creative direction, helping to choose stories that show what families in debt actually go through.

Rob Lowe

“One of the things that resonated with me about Accredited Debt Relief is their understanding that behind every financial situation is a real person.”

— Rob Lowe

Rob Lowe on Why You're Not Alone in Debt

In Accredited Debt Relief's first national campaign, directed by Academy Award-winning cinematographer and director Wally Pfister, Rob Lowe narrates three storylines inspired by authentic client experiences. The households depicted are portrayed by actors in scenarios representing situations where debt has made an ordinary necessity feel out of reach.

Why We Partnered With Bill Cowher

For more than three decades, Bill Cowher built a reputation as one of football's most respected leaders, guiding teams through adversity and helping players perform under pressure. He brings that same coaching mindset to people working through financial challenges, where preparation and having the right team on your side lead to successful outcomes.

In his campaign, he reaches out to people who have been sidelined by debt and encourages them to tackle it head on. His message: nobody reaches the goal line alone, and Accredited Debt Relief can be the team that gets you there.

Bill Cowher

“Throughout my career, I learned that success starts with preparation, discipline and having people you trust on your team.”

Why We Partnered With Bobbi Rebell

For more than two decades, Bobbi Rebell has been dedicated to making financial literacy accessible to regular people, first as a global business news anchor and columnist at Reuters, then as a CFP® professional and a Certified Financial Therapist™ and now as the author of two books on financial adulthood. She brings that range directly to people struggling with debt, meeting them where they are and focusing not only on the math behind a financial situation but on something that matters just as much, the emotional and behavioral weight of carrying debt. She makes change accessible through education.

As our chief financial education advisor, Bobbi hosts our educational video series, writes original content and develops new frameworks that give people a clear place to start. She also helps shape our national research so the data we publish reflects what people in debt are actually up against. When she represents Accredited Debt Relief in the media, she is doing more than speaking for the company. She is advocating for everyone who has been or will be impacted by debt.

Bobbi Rebell

“As a CFP® professional, my focus is on the math that shapes our financial lives. As a Certified Financial Therapist™ I also consider the emotions that inform our financial well-being. Partnering with Accredited Debt Relief is an opportunity to intentionally connect how we think about our money, to the tangible solutions that can free us from financial anxiety.”

— Bobbi Rebell, CFP®, CFT™

Bobbi Rebell on Going Beyond The Math

Bringing Hope to People in Debt

Most people keep debt to themselves on purpose. Among the people in our 2026 Debt Impact Survey who hide the full extent of what they owe, 56% say they feel they should be able to fix it themselves and 48% point to shame or fear of judgment. Another 47% say they would be embarrassed telling a professional the truth about it.

So 45% wait a year or more before getting help.

Our brand ambassadors help spread a hopeful message: needing help with debt is normal, and asking for it sooner means less time spent carrying it alone.

What Pushes People Into Debt, And Keeps Them There

Groceries, gas, utility bills, school supplies, car repairs, unexpected dental work. Every household in America has some version of this list: everyday expenses and necessities that push budgets beyond their limit. In many cases, credit cards are covering the gap. The balances grow faster than your payments shrink it, and before you know it those minimums are crowding out your budget even further.

In 2026 we commissioned two independent surveys of Americans carrying unsecured debt, 2,000 people in each, and asked them to describe their own situation. This is what they reported.

The Accredited Debt Relief 2026 Everyday Debt Survey was conducted by Atomik Research among 2,000 U.S. adults carrying at least $10,000 in unsecured debt, with fieldwork from May 11 to May 14, 2026. Both carry a margin of error of approximately plus or minus 2% at a 95% confidence level. The 70% and 38% figures are based on respondents with credit card debt (n = 1,477). Frequently Asked Questions

Who is the brand ambassador for Accredited Debt Relief?

Accredited Debt Relief works with three brand ambassadors. Award-winning actor, producer, author, and entrepreneur Rob Lowe and Academy Award-winning cinematographer and director Wally Pfister created the company's first national campaign in August 2026. Pro Football Hall of Fame coach and NFL analyst Bill Cowher's campaign launched in September 2026. Bobbi Rebell, CFP®, CFT™, is our Chief Financial Education Advisor, where she leads financial education for clients and anyone carrying debt. All are paid spokespersons of Accredited Debt Relief and none is a client.

Is Rob Lowe paid by Accredited Debt Relief?

Yes. Rob Lowe is compensated as a paid brand ambassador. He is not a client and has not used the service. He narrates the campaign rather than endorsing it from personal experience.

Are the people in the Accredited Debt Relief commercials real clients?

The situations in the Rob Lowe campaign are dramatizations performed by actors, drawn from real client experiences. Real client stories are a separate thing, and there are many of them. You can watch and read them on this page, on our reviews page and in our client story library.

What do Accredited Debt Relief brand ambassadors do, and why does it matter now?

We partner with brand ambassadors because they get the word out in a way we can't on our own. And what each of them brings — a storyteller's instinct, a coach's clarity, a journalist's questions — makes debt relief more accessible to the people who need it.

Brand ambassadors also help build community around a shared experience. People know who our brand ambassadors are, and their familiar faces become a common denominator between us and everyone we are trying to reach. They connect people from all walks of life to the same need: finding help with their debt.

What a brand ambassador can do

  • Make debt help easier to find
  • Tell people's stories
  • Help build community around a shared experience
  • Give people the confidence to take action
  • Show there's hope on the other side of debt

Will a consultation affect my credit score?

No. A free consultation call will not affect your credit score. Enrolling in a debt relief program or taking a consolidation loan can affect it.

Do I have to enroll if I call?

No. The call is free, takes about 45 minutes and carries no obligation. It is a conversation with an IAPDA-certified debt specialist about what you owe and which options exist for your situation.
